Trott zu Solz (August 9, 1909 in Potsdam, died. August 26, 1944 in Berlin) - German lawyer and diplomat, opponen t of the Nazi government. Trott zu Solza was born in Potsdam, Ger many, the fifth child of Eleanor Emilia (née von Schweinitz) and government official, August von Trott zu Solza. In 1931 under the Rhodes Scholarship, he left to study in college at Balliol, Oxford, UK. There he became friends with David Astor. After studying at Oxford, he went six months to the United States.
